# Entity - Individuals (KYC)

> KYC means Know Your Customer and sometimes Know Your Client.

Know Your Customer (KYC) is the practice of confirming a customer’s identity when an account is created and at scheduled review points.

An entity profile stores the person’s details and every verification check completed for that customer.
