# Adding an Email Address

To make an email address processable or checkable, it's required that the email address is added as a document, either within an entity or on its own.

Document parameters are:

* **ID type**: `idType` = `EMAIL_ADDRESS`
* **Country**: AUS (or the country of the owner if known)
* **Document Number**:  `idNumber` = the email address
