Thai National ID Card
The Thai National ID Card (บัตรประจำตัวประชาชน) is the primary identification document for Thai citizens. This guide explains how to verify Thai National ID cards through our API.
Required Fields
Common validation issues:
- ID number must be exactly 13 digits
- Names must match the ID card exactly, including spelling and spacing
- Date format must be
YYYY-MM-DD - Laser code must match the security code on the back of the card

Laser Code
Thai National ID numbers follow this structure:
- 13 digits total
- First digit: Type of registration
- Next 4 digits: Office code
- Next 5 digits: Sequential number
- Last 2 digits: Check digits
When collecting Thai ID information:
- Verify the ID number checksum before submission
- Ensure names are entered in the correct order
- Double-check the laser code for accuracy
