Overview

Blocklists are lists of customer profiles or individual attributes such as mailing address, email or phone number that have been identified by you or your organisation as being fraudulent.

What’s an internal blocklist?

This is a list of customer profiles or individual attributes such as mailing address, email or phone number that have been identified by you or your organisation as being fraudulent. Once a profile is added to your internal blocklist, new potential customers with matching information will be blocked from future attempts to onboard and open an account.

How’s this different to a Sanctions List?

Sanctions lists are external lists created by governments and international authorities of known sanctioned individuals or businesses around the world. Sanctions checks are performed as part of the PEP/Sanctions check and the results of this check are found in the PEP/Sanctions tab. New potential customer’s details are checked against pre-defined lists as set up in your initial configuration

How’s this different to a watchlist?

The internal watchlist allows you to ‘flag’ or mark a customer/profile in your system as Watchlisted.

This adds an extra risk factor to the customer’s risk score. The result of this will move the customer into a higher risk bracket, and therefore further checks may need to be run when changes are made to the customer’s profile.

What types of profiles and attributes can be added to the blocklist?

An entire profile or individual attributes such as an address, ID document, email address, or phone number can be added to the internal blocklist.  With the Internal Blocklist check configured as part of an entity profile, Frankie will check each incoming applicant’s details to see if they’re a potential match with any of the blocklisted profiles or attributes.

Once a profile or individual attribute has been added to your internal blocklist, it will be visible on the manage blocklist page.

  • Entire Profile - This is a full customer profile which has been entered into the system either manually or via API. This profile will most likely already have checks run against it, either passed or failed.

  • Individual Blocklisted Attribute - An individual blocklisted attribute may be added to the blocklist. These attributes are visible on the manage blocklist page only. The only check that will ever be shown against a blocklisted individual attribute is the Blocklist Search which is run each time an individual attribute is saved to the blocklist to check if any profiles already in the system match the newly saved blocklisted attribute.

What are blocklisted entities?

These are entities that matched against an internal blocklist. The system can automatically reject the application, thereby preventing potential fraud.

Blocklisted entities will have badge indicator.
