A note on middle names

Middle names do impact KYC results particularly when it comes to government IDs.

Below is a general rule on how the middle name being present and its format impacts the result of a check.

AU Driver’s License	Driver’s licenses are more lenient when it comes to middle name matching. DVS doesn’t check the middle name on driver’s licenses.
AU Passport	Passport matching is pretty strict when it comes to name matching. It requires the name exactly as it’s on the passport, so if there’s a middle name, collect it from the applicant.
AU Medicare Card	Middle names on Medicare cards are tricky. The details need to be provided exactly as they are on the Medicare card, taking into account whether the middle name is shown as an initial, the full middle name, or not present at all.
